Sin oxígeno en el sentido más amplio de la expresión. La falta de humanidad nos lleva al deterioro de todo lo que nos rodea, siendo seres individualistas sin respeto siquiera por las personas de nuestra misma especie. Esto nos lleva a ser negligentes, a no vivir en comunidad ni en armonía con el resto de los seres vivos de este planeta.
Estamos viviendo un momento de crisis; lo vemos en el medio ambiente, pero sobre todo lo vemos en el ser humano. La persona humana está en peligro: esto es seguro, la persona humana hoy está en peligro, de ahí la urgencia de la ecología humana. Papa Francisco.
La nueva conciencia que hemos madurado de ser parte constitutiva del ecosistema…, ante su destrucción, nos sugiere que contaminar el ambiente significa envenenarnos a nosotros mismos… Que cuando vendemos por 30 monedas de plata un bosque, hemos vendido, junto con los árboles talados, parte de nuestra herencia de oxígeno; que con la abeja muerta hoy por las moléculas sintéticas muere la esperanza en las flores del futuro.

El hombre ha sido dotado de razón y del poder de crear, para que pudiera añadir algo propio a lo que le fue dado. Pero hasta ahora nunca ha actuado como creador, sino únicamente como destructor. Arrasa los bosques, seca los ríos, extingue la flora y la fauna silvestre, altera el clima y afea la tierra cada día más.

Without oxygen in the broadest sense of the expression. The lack of humanity leads us to the degradation of everything around us, being individualistic beings without respect even for people of our own species. This makes us negligent, unwilling to live in community or in harmony with the rest of the living beings on this planet.
We are living in a moment of crisis; we see it in the environment, but above all we see it in humanity. The human person is in danger: this is certain, the human person today is in danger, hence the urgency of human ecology. Pope Francis.
The new awareness we have developed of being an integral part of the ecosystem…, in the face of its destruction, suggests to us that polluting the environment means poisoning ourselves… That when we sell a forest for 30 pieces of silver, we have sold, along with the felled trees, part of our oxygen heritage; that with the bee killed today by synthetic molecules dies the hope for the flowers of the future.

Man has been endowed with reason and the power to create, so that he could add his own to what he has been given. But so far he has never acted as a creator, but only as a destroyer.
